BIORESET: The use of controlled bioremediation for removal of specific types of contaminants
The main aim of BIORESET: a comprehensive research on the application of constructed wetlands technology for various specific pollutants and / or organization of the model of pollution spreading for subsequent solution of contamination risks.
The project will conduct a comprehensive research on the application of constructed wetlands / diffusion model for the waters with following kinds of pollution:
As a complement to the constructed wetland pilot plants, the project will design a technology for subsequent infiltration of the treated water or rainwater from monsoons into the rock medium, aiming at the reuse of water and strengthening of groundwater recharge (pilot site in Patan, Kathmandu).
In the case of the transfer of the BIORESET methodology to third countries, there will be considered specific approaches arising from the characteristics of the target groups (communities) and the local natural, socio-economic, historical, religious and legislative conditions.
BIORESET strives to meet the demand of end users who, under specific local conditions, prefer the natural and simple ways of wastewater cleansing that are low-maintenance and energy saving at the same time.
BIORESET in the Czech Republic is co-financed by the Ministry of Education, Young and Sports, Czech Republic (from 50%) in the frame of the programme INTER-EUREKA and organizations “VODNÍ ZDROJE a.s.” and “Vysoká škola regionálního rozvoje a Bankovní institut - AMBIS, a. s.” (Czech Republic).
